If you can nod your head to any of that, you won’t want to miss the upcoming two-part community
workshops on the Digital Age. Part I, on April 23, come hear from Laura Sutherland with Safe Harbor
and Mower County Sheriff Steve Sandvik as they address internet safety, specifically how to keep kids
safe from online dangers. It’s a tough topic, but one we can address as a community committed to our youth and our own mental well-being. Part II, on May 30, will address Raising Kids in a Digital Age and feature Dr. Angela Mattke, a Mayo Clinic pediatrician.
I’ve heard from many of you that these are relevant topics, so through Mower Refreshed collaborations, we’ve opened up the conversation and opportunity to learn from experts and each other.
Next issue, we’ll focus on chemical dependency. Is this an issue in our community? If so, to what extent? What resources are available for support? Have an idea to share or that you would like this forum to address? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
