What this program offers mentors:
• A fulfilling opportunity to be engaged in and give back to the community (pay it forward).
• The ability to be on the front of a campaign about helping the next generation explore and develop their potential.
• An opportunity to impact and inspire our youth by helping them build confidence, grow interpersonal
skills, and explore science in a way they may not have otherwise had.
Mentors can volunteer to assist with Saturday Science School activities at the Austin Public Library or with afterschool mentoring at Neveln Elementary School. You don’t have to be a scientist to help. We will teach you everything you need to know.
For more information on this opportunity, please contact Catherine Haslag at scienceFairMentorMN@gmail.com or 507-438-6084. You can also learn more about this program by visiting our website at www.sciencefairmentoring.org.
