We like to hear yes. Most of us like to say yes. January is filled with new determination for many that involves setting resolutions often related to wellness. Quick question: Is your resolution rooted in yes or no? Are you focused on what you shouldn’t eat, what you need to stop doing, or thoughts you want to avoid? What might happen if we reframe what is rooted in shouldn’t or no to could and yes?
Begin to practice pausing this year by intentionally framing your attitudes, behaviors, and actions to be rooted in yes. Yes, to what grows a healthier you. Yes, to what you have the freedom to eat that will strengthen your body and mind. Yes, to getting to bed earlier. Yes, to more face to face conversations. Yes, to family dinners. Yes, to kind responses when stressed.
